Loved ones to remember Crestview businessman who died of COVID


CRESTVIEW — A celebration of the life of local businessman Bill Toannon, who died Wednesday after battling COVID-19, is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

The event is set for 4 p.m. in the parking lot next to Gordon Martial Arts at 130 Oakdale Ave. W.

“We will pray, sing some songs and remember Bill for the amazing man of God he was,” loved ones said on the Facebook page “All About Bill.”

Toannon was the co-owner of Casbah Coffee and The Heights Classic Chicago Cuisine restaurant in downtown Crestview, and treasurer for the nonprofit Main Street Crestview Association.
